ABOUT

The vision God put on my heart...

comes from the passages of 2 Corinthians 5:11-21, specifically verse 20.

“So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us.  We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!””

Once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become vessels for God to work in and through for His glory!

The devotional subscription is designed to either be an addition to your study of God’s word and/or to be a guide for you to begin to know, understand, grow and reflect your relationship with Jesus.

If you are not sure if you have a relationship with Jesus or what it looks like, here are some questions to ask yourself:

Do I believe that I am a sinner in need of a Savior?

Do I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin and walked on the earth as a human?

Do I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save us from the penalty of sin?

Do I believe that God, the Father, raised Jesus from the dead?

Do I believe that Jesus walked on the earth and revealed Himself to many after He was resurrected from the dead?

Do I believe that Jesus ascended into heaven and is sitting at the right hand of God waiting for God to reveal the time of His Second Coming?

Do I believe that once I accept that Jesus died on the cross for my sin; that He was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven to prepare a place in eternity for me; that I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit will come and dwell in me?

Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

If you have never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and would like to right now, all you have to do is have this genuine conversation (prayer) with God:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory.

I understand for the wages of sin is death, but Your free gift (that is, Your remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers) is eternal life in Christ Jesus my Lord.

I believe I cannot earn my way into heaven. The only way to heaven is to accept the free gift from You which is in Jesus Christ. It is by Your grace that I have been saved. You gave Your Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for my sins on the cross.

I believe that You save me, not because of the righteous things I have done, but because of Your mercy. You washed away my sins, giving me a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. You opened up my heart to respond to Your message.

I believe You are faithful and just, true to Your own nature and promises, and will forgive my sins and cleanse me continually from all unrighteousness, my wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with Your will and purpose.

I declare with my mouth that, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. I believe in the Lord Jesus as my personal Savior and entrust myself to Him. Thank you that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!

Thank you for saving me and allowing me to be a vessel for you!

The next step of obedience is to be baptized. Being baptized does not save you but acknowledges to others that you have entrusted your life to Christ.

Matthew 10:32-33 - “Whoever acknowledges Me before others, I will also acknowledge before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before others, I will disown before My Father in heaven. (NIV)
